The Chevy Suburban Is One Of The Leading SUV's in the Nation
The Chevrolet Suburban, which every year is one of the best selling and highest reviewed large SUV has introduced the 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. The 2010 Chevrolet Suburban comes standard with a powerful 5.3 liter and eight cylinder engine which produces an impressive 352 horsepower and 382 pound feet of torque. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the 2010 Suburban gets fuel efficiency of 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 miles per gallon on the highway.
While the 5.3 liter engine provides enough push for most people, but those people who are looking for even more horsepower can upgrade their 2010 Chevrolet Suburban with a 6.0 liter engine. The 6.0 liter V8 engine gets much more power and torque than the 5.3 liter Suburban. Because of the increased engine performance, the Suburban's fuel efficiency takes a hit. The EPA estimates the V8 Suburban gets 12 miles per gallon in the city and 17 miles per gallon on the highway. One of the biggest draws of the 6.0 liter engine is the towing capacity that it comes with. The 6.0 liter Suburban has towing capacity of up to 9,600 pounds.
Both engines within the Suburban can come with all wheel drive, although only 2 wheel drive comes standard. To save money on fuel, the Suburban can be converted to an E85 Flex Fuel Engine which allows the user to pump in E85 fuel. With this engine, the fuel efficiency is deteriorated slightly, but E85 costs much less than standard gasoline.
The engine options within the 2010 Chevy Suburban have not been changed in the past year. The 2009 Suburban also came standard with a 5.3 liter V8 and could also be upgraded to the 6.0 liter V8 engine.
