What is a good type of car to cover this case, something to protect my car is thrown at my car?

I'm not with my neighbors and sometimes my alarm clock goes off (day or night). I quickly go out and check my car to see what happened and I usually find small stones on the ground. I've never seen it thrown something at my car, but I'm positive it to them. One: We do not get along. Two: If the alarm goes off My neighbors are generally outside of their porch. If a garage is the only solution? What about those white plastic covers I see people on driveways, garage-like Covers .... what are they called?
