How do I remove wax from my windshield on my vehicle?

I just had my vehicle repaired at a body shop and they detailed it and got wax on my windshield. I called them and they said to use glass cleaner. It's not working. I've also heard that dish soap will work, but it didn't do a very good job. If anyone knows what will work I appreciate it. Thanks.

Use a degreaser. The Auto Stores sell a wax and tar remover that you spray on like glass cleaner. Try it. It’s cheap and works. Kerosene is good too if you are careful, but hose it off with soap and water right away. Planin rubbing alcohol will do it too. But watch out for the paint. Apply it to a rag and when you are done, wash the car with soap. Question, how come the Body Shop doesn’t clean the wax off?? Or tell them to give you the stuff they use to get it off. Good Luck.
Scrape it off with a sharp razor blade.
I’d scrape it off with a razor blade.
You could also try melting it with a hair-dryer (or just leave it in the sun) and try wiping it off when it is softer.
Ask Mr. Miagi Wax on Wax off
Just kidding you should get a bit of warm water and some dishwashing soap and scrub it off and then use windex to clean it afterwards to get off any residue streaks.
Dishwashing soaps break up grease and oil based materials and oils. Just make sure the water is warm or hot to get it to work best.
a razor blade will work. or you can reheat it. not sure how you would do that on a vehicle, i know you can place a paper towel over wax, run a hot iron over it and the paper towel will absorb the wax. but i think on a windshield I would go with a razor blade.
wax off……. its a beauty product but it works with all waxes
Take an ice to it. Let it freeze up and then scrape it off with a razor blade.Be very careful not to scratch the glass.
The best substance to use is either Varsol or Menthey Hydrate. Could be found at your local hardware store or paint shop (residential/commercial)
Pour some on a rag and wipe the glass, and you will see the magic..Good luck
go to the hardware store and get a bag of 000 steel wool and rub the windshield down with it, it will take the wax off.
